Seminar in Brazil 01/30/2011
I will be attending a seminar in Brazil (Feb 8-9), where I will be presenting the work currently being conducted at the VBLAB. The seminar is being sponsored by a grant obtained by Dr. Celso Goyos from the Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos (UFSCar). Students from his lab will also be presenting their research on naming, novel stimulus relations and behavioral choice. For more information about the two-day seminar, visit the LAHMIEI website http://www.lahmiei.ufscar.br/sempesin4.html We are looking for children between ages 3 and 6 with a diagnosis of autism to participate in a study about novel categorization. Participants will learn to receptively discriminate many pictures and then tested to see whether they can sort the pictures by category without direct reinforcement. Participants must be able to sit at a table and attend for at least 3 minutes without disruptive behavior. Sessions may be conducted in-home or on campus. If you'd like to receive more information contact Ms. Vissy Kobari-Wright at vivmay77@aol.com National Autism Conference 06/18/2010
I will be speaking at the Penn State National Autism Conference on Tuesday, 08/03.
